William Irvin "Billy" O'Bryan age 88 of Salem, Illinois, formerly of Washington County, died Thursday, October 6, 2022 in Salem, Illinois.
Born May 6, 1934 in Washington County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas W. & Mary Badgett O'Bryan, his wife, Sylvia Marie Thomas O'Bryan, July 1, 2018, seven brothers, Junior, Bernard, Foster, Buddy, Richard, Joe Morris and Freddy O'Bryan and two sisters, Jane Bradshaw and Martha Baxter.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, was retired from Salem Gravure - Division of World Color Press and was a member of St Theresa of Avila Catholic Church in Salem. Billy enjoyed the nature that surrounded him, feeding his deer and gardening. He also enjoyed horse racing and watching Kentucky Wildcat Basketball.
He is survived by his son, William N. (Melissa) O'Bryan of Salem, Illinois, two grandchildren, two sisters, Christine Ray of Danville and Shirley Cissell of Louisville and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass for William Irvin "Billy" O'Bryan will be conducted at 10:00 am Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6:00 till 8:00 pm Monday and again Tuesday morning from 8:00 am till 9:30 am at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.
