Thomas Lee "Shorty" Stone

Thomas Lee "Shorty" Stone age 56 of Bardstown, formerly of Springfield, died at 5:45 pm Thursday at Norton Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville.

Born June 27, 1967 in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph Edward and Fannie Hardin Smalley Stone, a sister, Rebecca Stone and two brothers, Michael and James Stone.

He was a Horse Trainer for 25 years and had most recently been with Crystal Creek Farms in Cox's Creek.  He was a member of Bardstown Baptist Church.

He is survived by his significant other, Diane Marchese of Bardstown, a daughter, Marissa Stone of Indianapolis, Indiana, six brothers, Ralph (Anna) Stone of Bloomfield, William Stone of Nashville, Tennessee, David (Jackie) Stone of Berea, Clarence (Barbara) Stone of Danville, Robert Stone of Springfield and Marty Stone of Bardstown, two sisters, Mary Louise Stone of Bardstown and Geneva (Rick) Briggs of Lexington, 2 grandchildren, Jeremiah Stone and James Rebel Clark and a host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Thomas Lee "Shorty" Stone will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Bro. Harold Stone and Deacon Dean Hunt officiating.  Burial will be in Cemetery Hill.

Pallbearers will be Isaiah, Marion and Andre Stone, David Fogle and Austin and Richard Railey.

Honorary pallbearers will be Henry and Martin Keene, Brian Stone and Jamie Hayden.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am till time of services at noon on Wednesday.
