Ralph Hamilton Obituary

Ralph Hamilton, 69, of Springfield, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at UK Chandler Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky on July 3, 2026. Born on October 4, 1956 in Lebanon, Kentucky, Ralph was the son of the late Charlie and Christine Osbourne Hamilton.

He grew up in the Saint Rose community where his love for farming and agriculture carried him from a young age working on the family farm to his eventual career in management and chemical sales. He had a strong work ethic, vast knowledge and understanding of the industry, and was a mentor to many farmers in the surrounding areas. He worked until his health no longer allowed and eventually his grandchildren became his pride and joy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Phil Hamilton and sister, Mary Lou Robertson. He leaves behind his daughter, Jordan Hamilton Mudd, son-in-law, Scott Mudd, a granddaughter, Anne Scott Mudd and a grandson, Murray Mudd, all of Springfield; his sisters Susan Smith (Joe) of Springfield, Joyce Spalding (Joe) of Lebanon, Ann Grigsby (Tim) of Springfield, Barbie Hobbs (Gary) of Bardstown, and Michelle Boone (Bernie) also of Bardstown; his brothers Larry Hamilton (Betty Nell) of Springfield, Ronnie Hamilton of Springfield, Hal Hamilton (Lisa) of Cecilia, brother-in-law Hammy Robertson of Springfield, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has been chosen. Mass of Christian burial for Ralph Hamilton will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Friday, July 10, 2026 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, with Reverend Terry Bradshaw officiating, and Reverend Trumie C. Elliott and Rev. Joachim Kenney, O.P. as concelebrant. Interment will follow in Saint Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service at Saint Rose Catholic Church.
