Phillip Dewayne Keene age 56, of Garden Green Way, Louisville, formerly of Springfield, died at 11:25 pm Thursday, June 27, 2019 at his residence.
Born May 27, 1963 in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by his parents, James Isiah and Rose Marie Ellery Keene.
He was a 1983 graduate of Washington County High School where he was a basketball player, he was a Onloader for Walmart Corp. in Louisville for 17 years and served in the 623rd Btry. of the KY National Guard in Springfield and was a catholic.
He is survived by his wife, Carol Edwards Keene of Louisville formerly of Lebanon, a son, NaBryan Keene of Clarksville, Indiana, 5 brothers, James Isiah (Lori) Keene Jr. and Kevin (Lakecia) Keene all of Bardstown, Todd (Lucretia) Keene of Shelbyville and Keith (Mary Ann) Keene, and Frank Burton of Springfield, 4 sisters, Delena Burton of Lexington, Georgia Jones of Harrodsburg, Porsha Keene and LaQuita (Chris) Jones all of Bardstown; step mother, Mildred Keene of Bardstown, and his mother-in-law, Elizabeth Belle of Lebanon, a grandson, Tayvon Dewayne Keene Hamilton, 3 sisters-in-laws, Regina Belle of Bardstown and Ann Edwards and Michelle Edwards both of Louisville.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Allan Keene officiating. Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Tayvon, Jamie and Jordon Keene, Joe Lyons, Jason Ellery and Joe Reed.
Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Atkinson, James Furmon, Maurice and Louis Keene.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am till time of service on Wednesday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.
