Mary Jo (Cowherd) Roston

Mary Jo Cowherd Roston age 59, of Lebanon, formerly of Springfied, died at 6:30 am Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at Norton Hospital in Louisville.

Born February 25, 1964 in Lebanon, she was preceded in death by her parents, George Henry Cowherd, September 13, 2019 and Ruby Catherine Young Cowherd, July 22, 2004 and two sisters, Georgia Ann Barnes, October 17, 2020 and Mary Jo Ralston.

She had worked at Springfield Redrying Co, Cowden Mfg. Co. and had been a bus monitor and a teacher's aide for the Washington County Board of Education.  She was a member of Bethel Star Apostolic Church in Lebanon.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Roston of Lebanon, a son, Diego Roston of Lexington, two brothers, George (Manny) Cowherd Jr. of Springfield and James (Tracey) Cowherd of Jacksonville, Florida, three sisters, Frances "Nell" (James) Elery of Harrodsburg, Rose (Jimmy) Holmes of Anguilla, Mississippi and Wilma Graves of Springfield.

Funeral services for Mary Jo Cowherd Roston will be conducted at 12 noon Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Elder Michael Johnson, Rev. Gene Livers and Dr. Nicky Wright officiating.  Burial will be in Lebanon National Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ramont Churchill, Neil Furman, Bobby Fogle, John Graves, Charles Burch (Dean), Larry Andrews, Dave Fogle and Domonique Cowherd.

Visitation will be at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home from 9:30 till time of service on Wednesday.
