Mary Wanda Thomas Votaw age 64 of Wimsatt Rd., Loretto, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at her residence. Born November 10, 1953 in Lebanon, she was preceded in death by her parents, John Owen Thomas, January 10, 2003 and Susan Christine Spalding Thomas, November 28, 1991, two brothers, Karl Anthony Thomas, December, 22, 1984 and Francis Cooper Thomas, a sister, Oneita Johnson and a brother-in-law, Joseph Bennie Brussell, June 24, 1991.
She was a graduate of Sullivan University and St. Catharine College where she received associate degrees, she worked as a postal clerk at the St. Mary Post Office and at Dollar General Store in Lebanon and was a lifelong member of St. Charles Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Donnie Votaw, a son, Jeremy Votaw of Loretto, two daughters, Jessica (Curtiss) Hayden and Jackie (Freddy) Wohner all of Lebanon, two brothers, John Owen (Catherine) Thomas Jr. of Lebanon and Mike (Beverly) Thomas of St. Peters, Missouri, four sisters, Ann Brussell of Bardstown, Cheryl (Dick) Douglas of Anchorage, Alaska, Jackie (Greg) Kern and Terri (John) Cox all of Lebanon, four grandchildren, Alexis and Aleaha Hayden and Dillon and James Wohner.
Funeral mass for Mary Wanda Thomas Votaw will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2018 at St. Charles Catholic Church at St. Mary with burial in the church cemetery. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Deacon Joe Ray Dant officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 till 8:00 p.m. Friday and again from 7:00 till 9:00 a.m. Saturday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home who is entrusted with arrangements.
