Mary Theresa (Luckett) Wheatley

Mary Theresa Luckett Wheatley age 92, a resident of Cooper Trail Senior Living in Bardstown and formerly of Fredericktown, died at 2:39 pm Monday, December 19, 2022 at Flaget Memorial Hospital in Bardstown.

Born January 7, 1930 in Marion County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Cora Shelton Luckett, her husband, Joseph Earl Wheatley, December 2, 2017, a brother, Buford Luckett and two sisters, Margaret Mary Benningfield and Mayola Parker.

She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown.

She is survived by two sons, Kevin Wheatley of Lawrenceburg and Mark Wheatley of Springfield, five daughters, Pam (Steve) Hill, Mary Jo "Gene" Nalley and Fran (Scott) Thompson all of Bardstown, Angela (Ricky) Elder of Mooresville, Indiana and Marsha (Wayne) Mattingly of Celina, Texas, 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral mass for Mary Theresa Luckett Wheatley will be conducted at 11:00 am Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown with Rev. Terry Bradshaw officiating.  Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Hill, Richard Elder, Aaron and Joseph Thompson, Trent, Evan and Chase Mattingly.

A prayer service will be held at 5:00 pm Wednesday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 3:00 till 8:00 pm Wednesday and again from 7:00 am till 10:00 am Thursday morning.
