Mary Frances (Yates) Powell

Mary Frances Yates Powell age 83 of Jimtown Rd., Springfield, died at 11:42 am Sunday, May 4, 2025 at Village of Lebanon.

Born October 16, 1941 in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Albert and Mary Ethel Inman Yates, her husband, Robert Lee Powell Sr., June 5, 2010, a son, Terry Lynn Powell, January 22, 2004, four brothers, Richard "Dickie" , Ronnie, Charlie and Joseph Clarence Yates, three half brothers, Philetus, Lee and Frank Yates and four half sisters, Margaret Inman, Hattie Yates, Catherine Mayfield and Ada Downs.

She worked as a Packer at Wheaton Plastics for 26 years and Armour for 10 years and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

She is survived by a son, Robert Lee (Jami) Powell Jr. of Springfield, a sister, Katie Haydon of Mt. Zion a sister-in-law, Dorothy Byrd of Bardstown, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a great great grandchild and a step grandchild.

Funeral mass for Mary Frances Yates Powell will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, May 8, 2025 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating.  Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Timmy and Joe Yates Jr., Jimmy, Jerry Copas, Brian and Jessie Haydon.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 5:00 till 8:00 pm Wednesday and again from 7:00 am till 9:30 am Thursday morning.
