Mary Martha Barber

Mary Martha Barber age 103 of N. Doctor St., Springfield, died at 2:54 am Friday, April 23, 2021 at her residence.

Born September 19, 1917 in Louisville, she was preceded in death by her parents, Halstead William and Rua Ilma Gosnell Cross, her husband, Benjamin Felton Barber, December 7, 1997, a grandson, James Barber O'Daniel, a great grandson Phoenix Gray Bell-Yates and a brother, Hal Cross.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church and a faithful choir member.

She is survived by two sons, Richard Felton Barber of Bend, Oregon and Hal Barber of Des Moines, Iowa, two daughters, Ann Barber Cieslik of Springfield and Sara (Benny) O'Daniel of Bardstown, ten grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Funeral mass for Mary Martha Barber will be conducted at 10:00 am Monday, April 26, 2021 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating.  Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hollan Filiatreau, Cody Mingus, Brad and Stuart Mattingly, Nolan and Cooper Yates.

Visitation will be from 4:00 till 7:00 pm Sunday with a prayer service at 7:00 pm  and visitation again Monday morning from 7:00 am till 9:30 am at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hosparus of Green River.
