Mary Ellen (Wheatley) French

Mary Ellen Wheatley French age 79 of Pleasure Ridge Park, Louisville, formerly of Washington County, died at 3:35 am Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at her residence.

Born March 11, 1939 in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, James Edward "Dagwood" Wheatley, Feb. 14, 1985 and Dorothy Cecilia Clements Wheatley, Aug. 17, 2000, a sister, Sara Ann Eakles, Dec. 22, 1993 and a brother, Marion Wheatley, Sept. 25, 2004.

She had been a line worker at Bremners Biscuit Co. in Louisville for over 20 years and was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Louisville.

She is survived by 3 daughters, Dorothy Marie (Steven) Klepadlo of Palmyra, Indiana, Laurie (John) Cecil of Louisville and Jane (Mike) Orm of Taylorsville, 2 sons, Jimbo and Larry Osborne both of Louisville, 7 brothers, Benny, Frank, Tom (Kay), Mike (Katie), Herman (Debbie) and Richard "Dick" Wheatley all of Springfield and Mark (Patty) Wheatley of New Hope, 3 sisters, Dorothy Mae (Martin) Osborne of Mt. Washington, Laurita Wheatley of Louisville and Susie (Joe B.) Yates of Springfield, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral mass for Mary Ellen Wheatley French will be conducted at 10:30 am Friday, December 7, 2018 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund Ditton, O.P. and Deacon Donnie Coulter officiating.  Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.  Visitation will be from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Thursday and again from 7:00 am till 9:45 am Friday at the funeral home.
