Mary Catherine Mudd

Mary Catherine Mudd of Fredericktown passed away Sunday, April 23 surrounded by her loving family.

Mary was born in October 1937 to Leo and Bernadette Mudd.  She was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Lela Michelle, 3 sisters, Norma, Dot, and Sister Angela, SCN, and her brother, Leroy Mudd.

She is survived by Joe, her loving husband of 64 years, five children, Catherine,  Barbara (Buddy), Gene (Jisun), Calista (Steve), and James (DeAnna). Other survivors include: grandchildren, Christopher (Elizabeth), Matthew, Grant (Stephanie), and Travis; great-grandchildren, Avery, Jack, Devon, Madison, Taylor, and Lillie; siblings, Rose, Margaret (twin), Randy, and Rose Marie along with many nieces and nephews.  

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a teacher, choir director at Holy Trinity Catholic Church for many years, a homemaker, an avid gardener, and mentor to many people.

She loved life on their farm, gardening, and all of the seasons of God's nature. She was a graduate of Fredericktown High School and St. Catherine College.

Visitation will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Fredericktown at 10 AM on Friday, April 28th. Mass to follow at 11 AM. Burial at Holy Trinity Cemetery.
