Martha Ann Wilson Haydon age 95, a former resident of Lincoln Park Rd., Springfield, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Treyton Oak Towers in Louisville.
Born July 10, 1930 in Lexington, KY, she was preceded in death by her parents, Francis Marion "Zeke" and Mary Emily Mills Wilson, a brother, Frank Wilson Jr. and her husband, Robert Noe Haydon Sr., February 23, 2019 and a son-in-law, Ralph Blandford.
Martha had been an Executive Secretary for Irvin Air Chute Co. in Lexington, was a graduate of Linlee Grade School in Fayette County, a 1948 graduate of Henry Clay High School and attended the University of KY where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was also a longtime member and past President and Secretary of Washington County Homemakers, a past President of St. Dominic PTA and was appointed to the Governor's Conference on Education by Governor Julian Carroll. She served as Secretary of the Washington County Courthouse Renovation Committee.
She is survived by a son, Robert N. "Bobby" (Danyel) Haydon Jr. of Springfield, five daughters, Marie Blandford of Springfield, Ann (Tim Sr.) George and Margaret (Christopher) Nunnelley all of Louisville, Laura Gant of Lexington and Mary (Andy) McArthur of Asheboro, North Carolina, seventeen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, one niece and one nephew also survive.
Funeral mass for Martha Ann Wilson Haydon will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, January 28, 2026 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Clark and Rev. Trummie Culpepper Elliott officiating. Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Bob Haydon III, Joe Haydon, Timmy and Charlie George, John and George Nunnelley, Marshall, Robert and Haydon Gant, Jesse McArthur and Andrew and Alex Blandford.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, January 27 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call after 4:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27 and again from 7:00 am till 10:30 am Wednesday, January 28.
