Mabel Miles Blandford age 92, of Kelly Shop Rd., Springfield, died at 8:30 pm Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born June 6, 1928 in Marion County, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Edward and Mary Margaret Miles, her husband, Joseph Manuel Blandford, June 9, 2007, a son, David Blandford, Sept. 7, 1981, a daughter, Judy Blandford, Aug. 13, 2017, a daughter-in-law, Mary Jane Blandford, April 24, 2016, a granddaughter, Fran Blandford, March 11, 2000, a grandson, Jeremy Mudd, July 1, 2006 and twelve brothers and sisters.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Suzanne) Blandford of Perryville, Albert Blandford of Springfield and Cyril (Charlotte) Blandford of Taylorsville, five daughters, Mary (Louis) Wheatley of St. Francis, Betty Blandford, Catherine Blandford and Aggie (Bill) Hutchins all of Springfield and Pam (Keith) Hutchins of Bardstown, a special niece, Mary Roseline Osbourne of Louisville, 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral mass for Mabel Miles Blandford will be conducted at 1:00 pm Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating. Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jamie, Josh, Adam and Paul Blandford, Ken Carey, Matthew and Noah Hutchins and Trampus Montgomery.
Visitation will be Wednesday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Due to the COVID19 Pandemic face masks and social distancing will be required both at the funeral home and the church. No food will be allowed at the funeral home.
