Louis Patrick "Pat" Mattingly age 83 of Bardstown Rd., Springfield, died Tuesday, February 4, 2025 at his residence.
Born September 25, 1941 in Washington County, he was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Hubert Mattingly, July 8, 1960, his mother, Mary Edna Raley Mattingly, May 10, 1999 and a brother, Tom Mattingly in 2003.
He was President of Pat Mattingly, Inc. for 50 years, was a U.S. Army veteran, had attended St. Catharine Junior College and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Carney Mattingly, three sons, Jim (Fran) Mattingly of Dayton, Ohio, Eric (Kelly) Mattingly and Jason (Amanda) Mattingly all of Springfield, a daughter, Mary Anne (Tommy) Fallis of Springfield, two sisters, Huberta (Frank) Potter and Ollie Purdom all of Springfield, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral mass for Louis Patrick "Pat" Mattingly will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, February 8, 2025 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Pier Giorgio Dengler, O.P. officiating with burial in St. Rose Cemetery with military honors to be conducted by Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Eric, Jason, Jim and Layne Mattingly, Tommy Fallis and Michael Chastain.
Honorary pallbearers will be Carl and Kyle Mattingly, Ray Johnson, Gerald Hood, Harold Inman, Leon Smith and Ryan Spalding.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Friday and again from 7:00 am till 10:30 am Saturday.
