Lillian (Derringer) Mann

Lillian Derringer Mann, age 90 of Mackville Rd., Springfield, died at 7:15 am Thursday, July 4, 2024 at her residence.

Born November 12, 1933 in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Mark and Annie Elizabeth Nally Derringer, her husband, Joe Mann, May 19, 2021, a son, Joey Mann, February 25, 2020, a granddaughter, Ashley Young, February 20, 1987, a son-in-law, Dudley Young, April 20, 2020, three brothers, Joe, Richard "Pikie" and Jerry Derringer and two sisters, Mary Ann Curl and Alice Marie Derringer.

She was a teacher for 36 years having taught at the Manton school, St. Andrews in Harrodsburg, St. Augustine in Lebanon, St. Joe in Bardstown, St. Gregory in Samuels and her last 15 years of teaching was at St. Dominic School in Springfield.  She was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, James "Pogo" (Vickie) Mann and Mark Mann all of Springfield and Brad (Star) Mann of Versailles, two daughters, Regina Young and Rita Mann both of Springfield, 8 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral mass for Lillian Derringer Mann will be conducted at 2:00 pm Monday, July 8, 2024 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating.  Burial will be in Cemetery Hill. 

Pallbearers will be Patrick Young, Michael, Christopher, Jill and Morgan Mann and Andrew Buskirk.

Honorary pallbearers will be Michael and Crystal Graves, Justin and Brittany Hatchett, Lauren Mann and Lisa Taylor.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am till time of services at 2:00 pm Monday at St. Dominic Catholic Church.
