Kathleen Mary (Butrym) Koenig

Kathleen Mary Butrym Koenig age 66 of Lakeview Drive, Springfield, died at 1:15 pm Thursday, January 9, 2020 at her residence.

Born May 12, 1953 in Trenton, New Jersey, she was preceded in death by her parents, John and Catherine Mary Farrell Butrym.

She received her bachelors and masters degrees from Northern Illinois University and was a speech pathologist for the KY Department of Education and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband, Mark Koenig, a son Robert (Brittany) Seibert of Tennessee and a brother, John (Jerri) Butrym of Jackson, New Jersey, and 2 grandchildren, Vaughn and Holden Seibert.

Funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday, January 13, 2020 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen Dominic Hayes, O.P. officiating.  Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Vince Nobel, Jay Ingellby, Tom Driemiller, Stephen Wise, George Graves and Bill White.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Sunday, January 12 with Rev. Kevin McGrath, O.P. officiating.  Visitation will be from 5:00 till 8:00 pm Sunday and again from 8:00 am till 10:15 am on Monday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.
