Joseph Sherman Wimsatt

Joseph Sherman Wimsatt age 78, of Bardstown Rd., Springfield, died at 5:24 am Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at the residence of his son Patrick in Fredericktown.

Born October 15, 1945 in Washington County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Mary Elizabeth Hall Wimsatt and his wife, Margaret Mann Wimsatt, Jun 6, 2005.

He was a retired printer for American Fuji Seal in Bardstown and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

He is survived by two sons, George (Carol) Wimsatt of Springfield and Patrick (Cindi) Wimsatt of Fredericktown, a brother, James Leroy Wimsatt of Fredericktown, three sisters, Angela (Larry) Walker of Fairdale, Carol (William) Maddox and Joyce Adams all of Bardstown, two grandchildren, Charley (Matthew) Bond and Aaron Wimsatt.

Funeral mass for Joseph Sherman Wimsatt will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, November 25 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating.  Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Wimsatt, Peter and Kalen Boone, Michael Hale, Tommy Puckett and Larry Adams.

Visitation will be from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Friday and again from 7:00 am till 9:30 am Saturday morning at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where a prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday.
