Joseph Benton "Joe" Mann age 84 of Mackville Rd., Springfield, died at 2:46 am Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at his residence.
Born January 1, 1937 in Washington County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Everett and Mary Zelma Hamilton Mann, son, Joey Mann, Feb. 25, 2020, a granddaughter, Ashley Young, Feb. 20, 1987, a son-in-law, Dudley Young, April 20, 2020, four brothers, Charles, Jimmy, Jerry and Earl Mann and two sisters, Wanda Brady and Catherine Mudd.
He was a foreman in the spray room at Barber Cabinet Company for 37 years and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lillian Derringer Mann, three sons, James "Pogo" (Vickie) Mann and Mark Mann all of Springfield and Brad (Star) Mann of Versailles, two daughters, Regina Young and Rita Mann both of Springfield, a brother, Garland Mann of Springfield, two sisters, Pat (Al) Miller of Elizabeth, Pennsylvania and Addie Noel Key of Springfield, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral mass for Joseph Benton "Joe" Mann will be conducted at 10:00 am Saturday, May 22, 2021 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating. Burial will be in Cemetery Hill.
Pallbearers will be grandsons, Patrick Young, Christopher and Michael Mann, Michael Graves, Justin Hatchett and Andrew Buskirk.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Friday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Friday and again from 7:00 am till 9:30 am Saturday morning.
Face masks will be required for anyone who has not received the COVID 19 vaccine. No food will be allowed at the funeral home.
