Joseph Louis Hinton age 89 of Lexington, formerly of Springfield, died at 10:50 am Monday, July 22, 2024 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.
Born September 23, 1934 in Springfield, he was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mary Olivia Green Hinton, five brothers, William Leo, Alvin, Robert, George and Frank Hinton and five sisters, Mary Corinne Tudder, Dorothy Claypool, Mayola Hinton, Helen Jones and Mary Olivia Montgomery.
He was a U.S. Army veteran having served as an Armor Crewman in Germany, was a real estate agent and property manager in Lexington and was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.
He is survived by his lifelong companion of 52 years, Barbara Rosser of Lexington and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass for Joseph Louis Hinton will be conducted at 11:00 am Friday, July 26, 2024 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating. Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Vince and Sammy Montgomery, Chris, Bobby and Joey Jones and Frankie Hinton.
There will be no public viewing at the funeral home or the church but the public is invited to attend the funeral mass.
