Jerry "Oscar" Blandford age 69 of Booker Rd., Springfield, died at 10:23 pm Friday, January 4 2019 at his residence.
Born December 2, 1949 in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Martin and Elizabeth Virginia Tamme Blandford.
He was a graduate of Washington County High School and was a farmer and Business Owner in Springfield and Washington County for many years.
He is survived by his wife Betty Smith Blandford, 3 daughters, Lori "Tim" Graves of Springfield, Sherri "Tim" Grant of Richmond and Alison Blandford of Springfield, a brother, Roy Neil "Dorothy" Blandford of Springfield, a sister, Joann "Frank" Clements of Louisville, 8 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Tyler) Graves Coulter, Katie Grant, Emilee Graves, Jacob Graves, Jared Grant, Travis Grant, Dustin and Haylee Taylor.
Funeral mass for Jerry "Oscar" Blandford will be conducted at 11:00 am Tuesday at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Kevin McGrath, O.P. and Rev. Culpepper Elliott officiating. Cremation will take place after services.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Monday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements and where friends may call from 2:00 till 8:00 pm Monday and again from 7:00 am till 10:15 am Tuesday.
Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
