James Kevin Edelen

James Kevin Edelen age 57 of Booker Rd., Springfield, died at 12:44 am Sunday, May 5, 2019 at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. 

Born April 19, 1962 in Lebanon, he was preceded in death by his mother, Jennie Blandford Edelen, Sept. 23, 2014 and a brother, Damian Craig Edelen, Dec. 7, 1993.

He was a graduate of Eastern KY University with a Bachelors's degree in Business, was a 29 year employee of KY Transportation Cabinet in the Driver's License Division, had worked in the the Washington County Clerk's Office and was a member of St. Rose Catholic Chuch.

He is survived by his wife, Nancy Hagan Edelen of Springfield, a daugher, Savannah Edelen of Springfield, his father, Jim Edelen of Springfield and his mother-in-law, Marguerite Chesire Hagan of Holy Cross.

Funeral mass will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund Ditton, O.P. and Deacon Donnie Coulter officiating.  Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Hal Hamilton, Tony Smith, David Marple, Eddie Blandford, Tim Clements, John Hale, Max Hagan and George Hagan.

Honorary pallbearers will be Eric Walker, Connie Hill, Sharon Curtsinger, Amanda Whitmore, Jessica Hart, Trey Cheatham and members of Washington County Circuit Clerk's Office.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 3:00 till 8:00 pm Tuesday and again from 7:00 am till 10:15 am on Wednesday.
