Helen Irene (Tennill) Parrott

Helen Irene Tennill Parrott age 95 of Mackville Rd., Springfield, died at 9:54 pm Monday, December 5, 2022 at her residence.

Born September 9, 1927 in Springfield, she was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer Lee and Ginny Catherine Grigsby Tennill, her husband, Abell Parrott, December 15, 2013, a son, Jerry Lynn Parrott, November 25, 1995, a son-in-law, Eugene Graves, June 15, 2017 and three sisters, Josephine Foster, Anna Lou Barr and Betsy Curtsinger.

She was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.

She is survived by four sons, John E. (Linda) Parrott, Abell (Pamela) Parrott Jr. and Dale Parrott all of Springfield and Larry (Charlotte) Parrott of Willisburg, three daughters, Peggy Graves of Springfield, Bernice (Philip) Warren of Bloomfield and Betty Sue (Jimmy) Elliott of Gravel Switch, two brothers, Pete (Katherine) Tennill and Ralph (Johnnie) Tennill of Springfield, a sister, Mary Jo Hale of Springfield, 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral mass for Helen Irene Tennill Parrott will be conducted at 10:00 am Friday, December 9, 2022 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. David Farrell officiating.  Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kenny and Michael Graves, Scott and Stephen Parrott and Jonathan and Jamie Warren.

A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Thursday and again from 7:00 am till 9:30 am Friday morning.
