Frederick Houston "Fred" Lanham age 79 of Meadow Lane, Springfield, died at 10:25 pm Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his residence.
Born August 14, 1942 in Washington County, he was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Scott and Mary Huston Rudd Lanham, two brothers, Jimmy and Kenny Lanham and two sisters, Eleanor Morrison and Betty Agnes Peterson.
He was a Real Estate Agent and owner of Fred Lanham Real Estate since 1978, was a Auctioneer for 49 years having worked as an auctioneer at Washington County Stock Yards for 24 years and auctioned tobacco for 18 years, he farmed with Scott Lanham and Sons Farming until 1984, was a member of the KY Real Estate Commission, KY Young Farmers, was a KY Colonel and was a member of Council 4270 Knights of Columbus in Springfield. He also served in the KY National Guard from 1963 till 1969.
He is survived by his wife, Marsha Webb Lanham, three daughters, Myra Lynnette Howard and Celeste Lanham (Jerry) Goss all of Springfield and Valerie Lanham of Palm Harbor, Florida, a brother, Joseph Scott (Cathy) Lanham of High Point, North Carolina, three sisters, Eunice (Victor) Nally Judy (Bruce) Gordon and Connie Kays all of Springfield, a granddaughter, Sidney Michelle Lanham of Springfield.
Funeral mass for Frederick Houston "Fred" Lanham will be conducted at 10:00 am Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Rev. Edmund Ditton, O.P. and Rev. Kevin McGrath, O.P. officiating. Burial will be in St. Rose Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ruck Kelty, Keith Noel, Johnny, Mike, Chris and David Lanham.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bro. John McDaniel, Ted McNeal, Scottie Coslow and Steve Hardin.
A prayer service will be held at 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 11 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home where friends may call from 4:00 till 8:00 pm Wednesday and again from 7:00 am till 9:15 am Thursday morning.
