Ernest William Roston Jr.

Ernest William Roston Jr. age 84, formerly of Lebanon and a resident of Lexington, passed away at 2:30 am Friday, March 20, 2029 at Baptist Health Lexington.

Born September 22, 1941 in La Grange, he was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest William Roston Jr. and Nannie Roston, two sons, Dana and Ernest Roston and a brother, Dana Roston.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam war and had also served in Germany and Alaska, he had worked as an assemblyman at General Electric for 20 years and was a member of Bethel Star Apostolic Church in Lebanon.

He is survived by 2 sons, Diego (Rachelanne Knoll) Roston of Nicholasville and Jonathan Harwell of Louisville, a daughter, Michelle Roston of Louisville and five grandchildren, Jor'Niya Woods, Jamarrion Roston, Taliyah Boykin, Jia'Vonni Roston and Jia'Kiyah Roston.

Funeral services for Ernest William Roston Jr. will be conducted at 12:00 pm Friday, March 27, 2026 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Elder Michael Johnson officiating.  Burial will be in Lebanon National Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be David Fogle, Buddy Graves, Charles Burch, Rob Jeffries, James Furman and David Cowherd.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am Friday morning until time of service.
