Dennis F. Gammon age 70 of Harrodsburg Rd., Mackville, died at 8:48 am Sunday, November 11, 2018 at Veterans Administration Medical Center in Lexington.
Born July 16, 1948 in Lebanon, He was preceded in death by his parents, Leslie Harold and Maxine Odell Lewis Gammon and a previous wife, Linda Ann Morgenson Gammon, Sept. 30, 1989.
He was a graduate of Mackville High School, was a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired SFC from the KY Army National Guard, a bulk mail technician for the U.S. Postal Service and was a member of Mackville Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Penny Masters Gammon whom he married, Dec. 24, 1993, 2 sons, Brad (Cherish) Gammon of Chaplain and John Allen Crain of Mackville, 2 daughters, Jessica (Blake) Wright of Mackville and Bethany (Steve) Walker of Mackville and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 17, 2018 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Roger Dill, a retired military chaplain officiating. Burial will by in Peter Cemetery with full military honors to be conducted by the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
Pallbearers will be Roger Milburn, Jay Mattingly, Tony Masters, Terry Honacker, Eugene Devine and Freddie Bottoms.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Potts, Christopher Gammon, George Coleman and Sandy Carey.
Visitation will be from 3:00 till 8:00 pm Friday and again from 7:00 am till time of service on Saturday at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home who is entrusted with arrangements.
