Darrel Wayne McElvain

Darrel Wayne McElvain age 64 of Bardstown Rd., Springfield, died at 1:50 am Tuesday, June 10, 2025 at Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.

Born September 24, 1960 in Louisville, he was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton Wayne and Edna Christine Bell Helm and a sister, Sharon McElvain Wyatt.

He was a Roofer for Highland Roofing Company in Louisville for 20 plus years and was a Baptist.

He is survived by a son, Jared McElvain of Springfield, a daughter, Misty (Aaron Briley) McElvain of Louisville, a brother, Robert McElvain of Louisville, a sister, Lisa (Joe) Johnson of Louisville, 2 grandchildren, Aaron Briley Jr. and Hannah Briley and his former wife Patty Carey McElvain of Springfield.

Cremation was chosen and memorial visitation will be from 4:00 till 6:00 pm Monday, June 23, 2025 with a memorial service at 5:30 pm at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.
