Cynthia Marie Gartin age 69 of Lexington, formerly of Springfield, died at 12:34 pm Wednesday at UK Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born September 13, 1951 in Lebanon, she was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Gartin, Oct. 14, 1996 and Ella Marie Hagan, Dec. 25, 2014 and a brother, Arthur Leon Gartin, Dec. 2, 1968.
She was a 1970 graduate of St. Catharine Academy, a 1974 graduate of Morehead State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, had worked as a buyer for Action Business Suppliers in Lexington for 45 years and was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Lexington.
She is survived a 5 brothers, Kenneth Gartin of Springfield, Bill (Pamela) Gartin, Michael Gartin and Paul (Sonya) Gartin all of Lexington and Jeffrey Gartin of Radcliff, 6 sisters, Phyllis (Larry) Parker of Louisville, Brenda Gartin of Atlanta, Georgia, Sarah Curry and Martha Gartin of Lexington, Alice Judkins of Phoenix City, Alabama and Angela (Glenn) Hickman of Westerville, Ohio and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral mass for Cynthia Marie Gartin will be held Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church in Lexington with Rev. Norman Fischer officiating. The funeral mass will be private. Burial will be private at St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery in Springfield.
Pallbearers will be Kenneth, Bill, Jeffrey, Michael, Paul and Anthony Gartin.
A public visitation will be held from 10:00 am till 11:45 am Monday, January 25, 2021 at St. Paul Catholic Church, 425 W. Short St., Lexington, KY 40507.
There will be no visitation in Springfield and due to the COVID19 pandemic, face masks and social distancing will be required at St. Paul Catholic Church in Lexington.
