Charles Ryan "Chuck" Sumner age 43 of Crestwood, a native of Lexington, died at 7:40 pm Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at Baptist Health LaGrange.
Born March 27, 1981 in Lexington, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alvis and Adoline Sumner and his maternal grandmother, Adeline P. Edwards.
He was a 1999 graduate of Tates Creek High School in Lexington, he received a bachelor's degree in Biology with a minor in religious studies from Cumberland College, a master's degree in Divinity from Campbellsville University and a master's degree in Theology from Southern Seminary in Louisville. He was an analyst for The Rawlings Group for the last 8 years.
He is survived by his wife Allison Griffitts Sumner of Crestwood, three sons, Riley, Benjamin and Dallen Sumner all of Crestwood, his parents, Riley and Liesa Edwards Sumner of Georgetown, a sister, Alison (Josh) Raymer of Bowling Green and his father and mother-in-law, Guy and Cynthia Griffitts of Springfield.
Funeral services for Charles Ryan "Chuck" Sumner will be conducted at 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home with Pastor Mac Marye officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jake and Thomas Sumner, Chad Linville, B.J. Reed, Bradley Griffitts and Freddy Burch.
Visitation will be from 10:30 am till time of services at 2:30 pm Wednesday, July 3 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home.
