Annie Lucille "Cille" Mudd Groves age 87, of Greensburg formerly of Springfield, passed away at 7:03 pm Saturday, January 31, 2026 at Green River Trails in Greensburg.
Born March 22, 1938 in Washington County, she was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Mary Ellen "Dolly" Moore Mudd, her husband, Gene Thomas Groves, March 30, 2019, two brothers, Louis Edward "Buster" Mudd and Thomas Eugene "Genie" Mudd Sr., four sisters, Mary Sally Porter, Mary Rose "Rodey" Reed, Lily Marie "Titter" Gerton and Isabelle "Belle" Lydian.
She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Union Baptist Church in Greensburg.
She is survived by a son, Wade (Cindy) Groves of Lexington, a daughter, Cindy (Jason) Cable of Campbellsville, two sisters-in law, Eva "Cookie" Reed and Mary Ford both of Louisville and two granddaughters.
Funeral services for Annie Lucille "Cille" Mudd Groves will be conducted at 11:00 am Saturday, February 7, 2026 at Hale-Polin-Robinson Funeral Home Rev. Mike Ash, pastor of Mt. Union Baptist Church in Greensburg officiating. Burial will be in St. Dominic-Holy Rosary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David Reed, Lawrence "Popcorn" Lydian, Warren Pate, William Porter Jr., Paul Spalding, and Harry Lamont Kendrick.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am till time of service at 11:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
